About this sound
A single, pure tone at 432 Hz: a smooth, steady hum, a little below the A that orchestras usually tune to (440 Hz).
It is a plain sine wave from an oscillator, generated live in your browser with the app's code. There is no music, no binaural effect and no hidden frequencies, only the tone itself.
How people use it
Some people like a single tone under other sounds, or use it for meditation or focus. Claims that 432 Hz heals, relaxes the body or is in tune with nature are not supported by good evidence, and we make no health claims for it.
A pure tone is easy to notice, so keep it very quiet. Under pink noise or rain it becomes a soft, warm hum rather than a beep.
In the app, the Max volume limit in Settings keeps any sound, including a tone, from getting too loud.
Questions
Does 432 Hz help you sleep?
There is no good evidence that it does.
What is the difference between 432 Hz and 440 Hz?
432 Hz is slightly lower in pitch. 440 Hz is the usual tuning reference for the note A; 432 Hz is an alternative tuning some musicians prefer.
Is this a binaural beat?
No. Both ears hear the same 432 Hz sine wave. Binaural beats play slightly different tones in each ear; this is one plain tone.
